how we work
At Lower Norton Flower Farm, we farm in an environmentally friendly way always striving to minimise our ecological footprint.
We adopt sustainable farming techniques where we can, focusing on fostering biodiversity and maintaining soil health. We are aware of the long-term effects of our actions on the environment and strive to create a balanced ecosystem that supports both our flowers and the surrounding wildlife. This holistic approach not only enhances the quality of our flowers but also contributes positively to the environment for future generations.
We prioritise sourcing our flowers from our own fields during our growing season (April to the end of September), ensuring freshness and quality. We also collaborate with other local growers to support our community and maintain sustainable practices. Outside of our growing season, we strive to focus on British-grown flowers whenever feasible; however, there may be occasions where we opt for imported stems. In such instances, we will always consult with our customers to ensure that this choice meets their needs and expectations.
