What better way to celebrate the arrival of Spring than with freshly picked tulips. At our flower farm the PYO tulip experience invites you to immerse yourself in a stunning sea of colour, as you stroll through hand picking your favourite blooms straight from the field.

We are currently planning our Pick Your Own Tulips experience to run between Tuesday 7th April and Sunday 19th April.  As ever with growing, the season sets the pace – so we won’t be opening bookings just yet until we’re confident the timing is right.

Lower Norton Flower Farm is absolutely delighted to announce a collaboration with professional florist, Louise Bradshaw. This exciting floristry course comprising of six sessions, is held in the evening and takes place once a month. This class will immerse you in the abundance and beauty of seasonal locally grown flowers.

Spend a relaxing morning crafting an Everlasting Flower Frame. Using flowers and foliage gathered and dried from Summers harvest here in the flower fields. You’ll be guided through the process of weaving each stem into a wire frame to create a stunning, meadow style design to treasure all year round.

Join us for a relaxed and creative Low Bowl Arrangement Workshop, perfect for celebrating spring. Using a seasonal mix of spring flowers, you’ll create a beautiful low bowl ideal for your Easter table.

The experience finishes with tips on styling your arrangement into an Easter/Spring tablescape. Along with creating up to 3 bud vases, you’ll be exploring simple tips on colour, texture and placement to create an elegant Easter table that reflects your own personal style.

Come and celebrate the joy of cheerful early Spring at this uplifting, nature inspired workshop with garden designer and nature enthusiast Nicola Baldwin, HerOutdoorz.

Be inspired by the spring bulbs, daffodils, tulips, snowdrops, hyacinths, crocus, snowdrops, grape hyacinths and hellebores as Nicola demonstrates journalling techniques for capturing the awakening feeling of Spring. Mixing seasonal flowers and journalling and working with words, photos, doodles.

Then using Nicolas’s collection of seasonal, bespoke and retro papers she’ll show you how to create spring bulb collages.

While we’re creating, Nicola will tell you about the Spring Equinox and share seasonal folklore and examples of wild nature to help you to connect with the time of year. 

This workshop is perfect for all abilities. Just come along and immerse yourself in the joy of the season.

Join Alison, owner of Lower Norton Flower Farm for a tour of the farm. In this unique experience, you will start with a guided tour of the beautiful 4 acre flower field, where Alison will share personal story of transformation from an enthusiastic gardener to a dedicated flower farmer.

As you explore the flower field Alison will discuss the seasonal rhythms of flower farming and the journey the flowers take from field to vase. You will gain an insight into the care and cultivation required to produce flowers for floristry.

Following the tour, enjoy a demonstration in the beautiful Flower Barn of sustainable floral design techniques, where you will be shown the techniques used to create stunning foam free arrangements.

To conclude this delightful experience, indulge in delicious tea and cake and conversation about all things floral and flower farming.

PYO flowers with our Created by You - Vase Arrangement

Our expert florist will guide you in making a vase arrangement. They’ll talk about foliage, flower shapes, and conditioning for longevity. 

Alison, owner of Lower Norton Flower Farm, will guide you through a tour of the flower field and you will learn tips on harvesting flowers at their peak. Finally, handpick flowers to create your own stunning vase arrangement to take home. With no experience necessary, this promises to be a magical day out.

Looking for a venue for your ‘Hen Do’? We can help you out there too. We can arrange a flowery workshop for you and your friends in the beautiful setting of our flower field.

If you are intending to create your own bouquets and button holes for your wedding, this would be the ideal opportunity to practise with our experienced florist on hand to give you plenty of tips and tricks to ensure that the preparations for your wedding flowers on the day is as stress free as possible.

Equally, if you are just wanting to celebrate your up and coming wedding with a group of friends, in beautiful surroundings, with plenty of time for chatter and laughter whilst being shown how to create a stunning hand tied bouquet or flower crown, we can organise that for you too.
